big bear vs. rancher
#2
I like the rancher, but then again I'm biased since I have one. I love it and have never even had remotely close to a problem with it. My friend has a bear and hasn't had any problems out of it neither and we both go through mud and things about equally well. The suzuki eiger won all the shootouts in the 400cc class and under but I still like my rancher and my buddies bear better. I haven't rode a eiger though so I might change my mind if I got my hands on one. The new rancher 400's are coming out so I want to see what they do compared to my 350.

from my experiance, which my not be true, the bb is faster and more corortable but the rancher could flip down a hill four times and still be runnin

Myself I would take the Bear over the Rancher ! Everytime I touch my brothers Rancher it doesnt run right. Its either the ES system messed up, the quad not starting, and it backfireing. The brakes never work right on it, as of right now he has to replace all of the front bearings. The tabs on the frame the ones the back rack bolt to broke off ! The Rancher doesn't have the power the bear does. The Rancher has only a 329 cc engine. Maybe his Rancher doesn't like me. lol

As far as which one is faster which really don't matter a lot in a utility quad, well I guess these are sport utilities so maybe it matters a little. My cousin and I have dragged my rancher against his and I've never lost to him. His is a lot older and maybe a little ragged out. We also hooked a thick strap to them and I pulled him all over the place but he had major bald tires so I guess that doesn't count a lot. It was just fun to ride him out about it.
