Beat By Banshee

A DS650 is faster top end than a Rappy but very close with the shee too close to make a difference. But once you put money into a shee the only thing that will touch her is possibly a DS760 stoker an Alky. But then your getting stupid!!!! But if you are going to dump all of that money in, I think it is hard to beat a Stroked out Banshee. All of the quads are so close at that stage, it mostly comes down to driver skill. And this is coming from a DS owner. PEACE!!

The Rappy top was 74.2 on my buddies with a GPS. The Banshee was 76.9 with the GPS. Ths DS650 was 76.8mph. To get more top end you could try a gearing change with I believe a larger front sprocket. your low end accel will suffer a bit though. To counter act the slower take off, try to make your motor breathe better with a K&N filter, jetting and air box modifications. K&N can help you with the proper jetting sizes for your altitude. Another cheap mod is to take the flame arrester out of your silencer. But that makes the machine a lot louder and isn't easy to hide if you want a sleeper. Sidewinder gears could steer you in the right direction with what sizes of sprockets would suit your needs.

The only chice on a stock bike for top end is to go up on front or go down on back. But going down on the back to a 38 will require a little grinding work. In my oppinion unless you are riding ALOT of open ground like dunes or fields and stuff then you are not going to be happy with gearing up your rappy and not doing some mods. The bottom end will suffer to much and reverse will become unmanagable.
For a cheap way out... Like cop said take out the arrestor, throw the air box lid over the hill, put in K&N and rejet a little. Then your bike should carry a 14:40 or a 13:38 ok and this will give you more power all over and give you more top end speed.

I'm just guessing but i'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong or leave something out.
1. gasgas300-two stroke
2. yamaha banshee-two stoke
3. ds 650
4. yamaha raptor
5. polaris predator500
6. kawasaki v-force700
7. gasgas 450
8. suzuki z400, kawasaki kfx400
9. honda 400ex.
That's all I can think of. Of course Cannondale just went out of business or they would have been high on this list and the yamaha yfx450 isn't out until another couple of weeks. I'm not sure of my placement of the two gasgas quads but I've heard the gasgas300 is the fastest quad you can get right now.

If I messed with the Speed Limiter Like Screw it out will it go Faster or What.
It says if you screw it in it Decreases the Speed so if I screw it out will It increase Speed. Thanks Mark
