Yamaha vs. FMF

Wow. I like that Curtis Sparks full system. Can you give me the details on yours?
Was the power increase definetly noticeable?
Is the sound loud and proud?
Does the system require modifying anything on the bike to fit the pipe or header?
Does the Jet kit they send match well with the exhaust?

My rust problem is on the very back cap of the muffler, its not reeeal bad but its there and I don't like it. Between that and all the leaks(every rivet and the end cap leak) I I have grown to really hate this pipe. Next will be an MBRP for sure. I have heard great things from everybody who runs the Sparks pipe though.

Have had Big Gun exhaust systems on my quads for 4 years (300ex,400ex,wolverine,ttr225,and Z400) not one of them ever rusted, nor did they leak at the rivets. They all bolted right up, sound awsome, make great power increases, and are easily repacked when the sound and performance started to change. BIG GUN only does four strokes and they do it right!

Check out:

They did a pretty good job of comparing most pipes.
Keep in mind though, loud sounds good to us, but not to everyone else. A 3 dB increase in sound level equates to double the percieved sound volume, (ie. 103 dB is twice as loud as 100 dB). I'm not a greenie by any means, but I do want to keep my riding areas. If you want to get a good idea of how loud pipes are on a particular wheeler, check out:
