Default 14:1 piston for warrior???

I bet the highest exhuast flow would be an HMF.. They are pretty much straight pipes.

You worry me with your ambitions of 14:1, why not 12:1, a LITTLE head shaving, and an adjustable timing gear? you may be able to get close with whats presently available. 14:1 is definitely a custom build piston. I dont believe they have a limiter either due to the restrictive 2 valve design stock it doesnt need it.

I use to lightly float valves all the time on my warrior with 12:1 and .450" lift cam since there was no limiter. most of the time it was because I also couldnt make a shift on the thing to save my life, especially going up hills I was always slipping out of gear or missing shifts and hitting the non-existant limiter

OK..... Maybe ill give up on the 14:1 with the warrior, with the 12:1... and a smaller head gasket... on an alky nitro blend.... high grind cam... straight K&N filter... full HMF pipes...with a port and polish, oversized valves.... What kind of hp could i expect??? 30-35?

I hope I didnt confuse ya, the HMF slip on is really all you need.. The aftermarket exhaust systems are usually "half- systems" mid pipe back using the stock header. There aint nothing wrong with the stock warrior header which is really adequate

I would say you could pull atleast 30hp up to 35. I could swap wins with 30hp 400ex's on ultra94 pump fuel with the 12:1, BIG cam, titanium springs, k&n with lid and Alba pipe.

Your wasting your time and money with the Warrior. I have FST 500 Warrior with everything that can be done to it and its still slow. The two valve head just kills the hp, but it has loads of torque. With the factory 13t sprocket I could pull out in 6th gear. So I put a 17t on it and it still doesn't have much top end. I played the game of running alky in it too, its too much of a pain in the *** for the little bit of gain. You need to clean the alky out of the carb everythime you run it or you'll have problems. I think mine is 12:1 or 12.5:1 and my starter just barely turns it over on a fresh battery. And in the winter forget it, it won't turn it over without jump starting it. Graydon makes some good exhaust for the Warrior, its what FST used with the 500 kit. So, hopefully you don't waste your money on the Warrior its just too old to make alot of power. BTW I never had any problems with mine popping out of gear.

I have a dirt digger clutch. I could used to pull the clutch with 2 fingers, now its so hard it takes all 4 and some grunt. IMO its too hard to pull.
