Default Crab needle help, I need to be schooled

Some one tell me about needles. Specificaly how they are labeled. If I am looking at my needle what do the #s mean? If I want to go to a more rich or lean needle how do I change the #'s to get one?????

TIA!

Sudco's or Mikuni's site has NOTHING, unless there is more than 1 Mikuni site. I can find alot of info on the HSR but not on the BSR which I have.

Sudco's book has all that information

Jet needles are a pain in the ****...the numbers and letters designate the length width taper etc...

Its hard to find any info on the BSR carb. I have found some info, but not really what I was looking for.

Anywhere online to look at that manual?

BTW why didn't any one tell me I wrote Crab instead of carb in the title?LOL

I think you only have 3 choices.

stock
GYTR (thinner)
Dynojet (thinner than GYTR)

Is the whole thing thinner or does it tapper more quickly.

I gave my DJ kit away or I could look. Anyone have two to compare?

Doesn't CT have a needle too or is it a DJ or GYTR needle.

Yeah they do. I think it is different, they call it a Ti needle. I don't know if that would help or not. Sounds like a marketting ploy to me.

The GYTR is a nonferrous metal but I don't know if it's Ti, could be.
