airraptor, so what mods did you have to have done to the head for the titanium valves? did you have to put in larger valve guides?

Dumont,

It ALL depends on whatyou want man!

If you want to challenge SPARKS to a hill drag, then GO BIG on your Valves, carbs, cams, and BORE size(and alot of NITRO)

But if you want a SOLID 60 hp machine, that is competitive and you can still DUNE all day with out worry of over heating, or breaking down then go with a good 686 and call it good. you wont need larger valves, or larger carbs.

P.S. the difference between Competitive and Stupid fast is about $3000 so...... you have a big decision to make.

Bigger.

bigger- you are right. But the difference will be measured in feet and inches for that 3000 dollar difference

As of right now I have zero plans of stroking it, i might go with a larger sleeve based on advise. Ill get the head ported and polished and get the oversized valves, how much are those titanium valves? and where can I get them. How much are oversized stainless steel???? When I get my head ported and polished should i send the valves as well to get them seated and to match them up with the head as well???? Will it be alot of work making sure i dont put a valve through the gosh darn piston?
