I just recenly installed a Tach to my Raptor using the available lead coming off my new DYNA ignition. If you would like to see it, go to my web page then the GregV page.

I like it, the only thing is that it would have been nice to have purchased a motorcycle tach, I installed an automotive style that only goes to 8000 rpm. It should be fine since that is real close to where I shift when I'm running her hard.
