Bigger- Rod is on vacation this week at the coast. His dealer called today and said it was in. Rod left the wife and kid at the beach and took a 4 hour ride to pick it up. He said he was afraid the dealer might sell it if he waited until monday to pick it up. He had not ridden it much but he did not think it had the kick that his built 440 kawaisaki has. Hopefully we will find out this week end. Rod was pretty excited about it, said he liked the feel and the way the seat/controls etc. Hopefully it will be a craycraft450 shortly.

I wonder if Bob will be able to talk Rodsquad into leaving his 450 there for a little bit to get the port work done... Pro Flow kit, slip-on exhaust, and some of Craycraft's porting and I bet you would have a National caliber machine right there.
Will swapping from a 11.9:1 to higher compression really do anything? Same question with the cams-- they are already YZ/WR spec. It should be interesting to see how much more power a builder can get out of one of these.

Alaska- From the short talks that i have had with rod he believes they really detuned it. He knows quads. He had a sweet crf450 built last year and has owned 100's of quads. I do not think he has every changed the oil in one. lol I look forward to giving it a spin.

The guys at the local Dealership took one and did some simple mods to it to see how it responded. They removed the baffle from the exhaust, took the airbox lid off and jetted it. They said it was a Night and Day difference. Their description of it was WOW.
They are planning on taking one and changing the Exhaust Cam, higher compression Piston, posibly porting the head, modifying the Airbox, putting a Slip-On muffler on it and jetting it. They think that 65 to 75 HP isn't going to be that hard to make. They aren't sure what ignition it has (WR or YZ), they are hoping it has the YZ ignition. None the less, it is going to be one BAD ******.
