Not sure since I didn't own the TR5 but from what they say it is a big improvement below is a quote from Toomey website

The TR-6 design is more than 8 horsepower stronger in acceleration, low and mid-range power and better than 5 hp stronger at peak, than even our own market leading T-5 pipe

howler666: I paid $629 on ebay. Everyone else seems to be backordered on these.
