JJ... nice quad, I want one too! Will have to sell the Rappy though, boohoo...
The white looks good with the red frame & stickers, I wonder if its tougher to keep clean looking though? The blue looks bland from the side view until you see the white stickers in the front view, tough choice!
Latest issue of DW says exhaust baffle is real easy to remove, the air box lid was designed to be removable, header is already stainless & with a simple jetting change you get 15-20% more hp's... nice!
One question for ya, if it doesn't have reverse, then what is that black **** on the right front fender for??

I got the 1st Blue one in from Anchorage Yamaha, The guy I ran into bought the showroom model from the Yamaha dealer in Wasilla. I know Anchorage had only one blue ordered which is what I put money down on a month ago and the other 3 are white/red. I know those are already sold when they get here from previous deposits. I think they might end up with a couple more from trading with dealerships in the bush for Grizzly's but if you call them, talk to "Squeaks", he knows whats up.

Alaska,
thanks for replying.... All I could think about was those guys out at Knik riding my quad around. I have a Red and White one paid for... I cut the check last Wednesday and the wait is killing me. It was such a nice weekend up here too..... Then to find out there are YFZ's in Alaska, you can only imagine my paranoia
Where'd you go riding?

I was breaking it in and there wasn't a Predator up there(I sold mine 2 days ago) so I can't really answer that. From the seat of the pants feel, stock to stock, the Yamaha pulls harder in low to mid and about the same on top end. It feels a lot like the hard hit of the Predator but over a much wider powerband. Shifting was better on the YFZ and the weight was very noticeable. We will have Raptors, Predators, 400ex's, 250r's and of course the YFZ all together over the 4th weekend. You can bet we will be lining them up. I think the Predator is easier to corner at high speeds though, this was good but the Predator is awesome at that. You can definitly throw this quad around better though.

The Sutton trails at Buffalo Mine Road right outside of Palmer. I was paranoid too....they called me and the first thing I said was "Those guys better not be hammering it up and down the road after they put it together". Of course I was assured they did not...it didn't look like it either.

Cool, I've never ridden out there. We fly out there all the time and I look at all the trails. I've been wanting to ride out by Palmer for a long time. It looks like you can go forever out there.....
Have you ever riden towards Goose Bay and the old Nike sight out there? that looks like it would be a fun ride too.
I know what ya mean about white.... As you can see I've got a white Banshee. It is a pain to keep clean, well, nearly impossible but I thought the red frame looked cool as hell.
