Sept. issue of ATV Sport - Yamaha says the 450 has a claimed top speed of 74 mph.

what's top speed? i can do that on my blaster in just takes me longer to get there. but good info.

 

I have a gps I carry with me when I ride. the best top speed on flat ground that i got out of my YFZ was 68.5. I feel this is a accurate reading, I am 185 lbs I was at 6000 feet on a old highway with plenty of room to run. they might get 74 but I didn't, Dave

Ran against one this weekend and it was no match but stock for stock it is faster than a raptor i think,i couldent tell he was to far behind..

 

I've always heard 71 or 72 for a Raptor and we ran one on a road that went down hill and got 72.8 so I think 72 is a good number. In all my old mags I see 72 the most and I found on 71 and a 75.
