Guys,
I bought a set of reed spacers along with my fmf pipes, Boyesen Dual Stage Power Reeds. The question is: DOnt the reed spacers go between the reeds and the intake port f the motor? The screws that hold on the reeds are getting in the way of fulling seating the spavers tot he reed cage.. ONe more question, do the dual stage reedss really help? Dot he reed spacers really help much.
Thanks for any input...

yes reed cage spacers go between the reed cage and intake ports. If your reed screws are properly fastened they should not interfere with seating of the reed cage spacers at all. As far as dual stage reeds adding performance there is little if any gain to the seat of the pants feel. Dual stage reeds to my knowledge are supposedly to give you quicker throttle reaction. But most people I kknow say they are not worth the extra money over standard reed. Hope this helps.

Go ahead and go to the 2 stage reeds. They don't use the stock rev plate anyway. At least by boyseen's didn't.The 2 stages should help to tame the powerband a little.Because of the 2 stage design the actually open at 2 points rather than one so you've got 2 smaller hits instead on one big one.I felt the difference when I canged the.Not as much as in my quad racer but there was a change.
