Default blaster first mods?

what are the first must-do mods for a blaster? I'll be doing mostly trail riding. Are the stock tyres adequate? I'm a complete 4-wheeler noob, so any help is appreciated. Are there any good websites I could check out?? BTW, it's a 2003.

To elaborate on dirtriders post....
Yeh, hook your self up with some GBC shredders. They are the cheapest 4 or 6 ply (higher number, thicker the tire) tire out there. You can get them at www.denniskirk.com. Then, if you have the money, order a set of Toomey B-1 pipes (at www.toomey.com) if you arent sure of yourself to install them and the jet kit, take it to your dealer, im sure they will do it. Little things such as softer grips and a gripper seat cover can really improve the ride. Also, as dirt rider said, get a TORS remover kit for the carb. TORS is Yamahas version of a rev limiter. If your throttle is completely let off, but the throttle cable is stuck or something, this TORS will kill the motor. It sounds like a good idea, but its a big waste of metal. You can get a removal kit. Im not exactly sure where though.
Other than that, you should be happy for a while.

If you need any other help, post on there, thats what the board is for.

yes the stock tires suck!Get any kind of low profile racing rubber like the itp holeshot, maxxis razr 2,or the gbc shredder....Then get a 14 tooth sprocket....Then get a toomey b1 pipe kit and take of the air lid and youll be set,its a huge increase in power!

Ditto on what was posted, but I would recommend a rear swing arm skid plate. Ever since Ive put mine on, I can hear roots, rocks, etc. hitting it (which means its working) and if you get caught strattling ruts, it helps to just slide right over. Its alot better than the stock p.o.s.
