Default rappy idle adjustment and carb boot blow off

I went to the UPP website and under carburator boots for Yamaha I only saw one's for the Banshee.
Am I looking in the wrong place?

Default rappy idle adjustment and carb boot blow off

thanks for the help. i upped the idle and grinded the spacer down about 1/3 of the way and so far so good. two days of hard riding and big jumps. Just wondering what peoples opinions are on the dusty dirt situation. thats definately not a good thing is it? you think the little bit did some slight damage? the air cleaner is for the engine not the carb right? thanks and im gonna look into the boots anyway.

P.S. while i have a post going, does anybody know what it means if the reverse light is blinking? it did it once and i have no idea why.

Seems mine has come on that way a few times after riding long periods in first or second, could have something to do with a point before it gets hot.

Anyone with a ported intake then bought a UPP then ported that too?

I should be getting my ported intake for my Wife's Raptor back soon and wonder if I should get the UPP before installing (I'll then have to port the new UPP intake! isgust

The air cleaner is for the carb and the engine. The engine needs to have clean fuel, and has to have a clean carburetor (Spelling?) to achieve that. Hope this was some help.

so the carb has to have clean air so that no dirty air gets in the carb and restricts air flow correct? but what if clean air is going through the carb but a slight amount of dirt might be going to the engine. cause the air cleaner hose was still connected to the carb. the carb boot blew off between the carb and the engine and dirt mighta slid in between the boot and the part of the carb the boot goes over. so do u think that dusty dirt is ripping apart the inside of teh cylinder walls?...i know thats an extreme case but u know what i mean.

Duneme - Craycraft ported my stock carb boots but I replaced them with UPP boots when I switched to FCR carbs. I ported the UPP boots myself with a dremel and a small sanding drum. Don't run the dremel at high speed or the UPP plastic will just melt, slower will sand the plastic away without melting it. To get the UPP boots to match my Craycraft ported intake runners, I had to remove almost all the plastic and some of the aluminum from the mounting plate. It's not hard to port the carb boots, just go slow and keep checking progress against the head until you don't feel a ridge between the head and the boot. Also, don't just port at the mating surface, make sure the runner is smooth all the way into the carb boot - no ridges.

Warrior86, when I purchased my Raptor for the first three months mine was doing the same thing. My suggestion would to to a higher pilot jet 22 stock to 25. Then try 2 1/2 turns on the left carb, and 2 1/4 turns on the right carb.
