Although the technology and design is dated, the Warrior is one of the most reliable quads you can find. Personally, I would rather have a 400ex but if the price were right, a Warrior would be fine. The suspension is not as good for jumping as a 400ex but it is okay for light jumps. The suspension is great for casual trail riding.

The warrior is a great trail riding machine and good beginners quad. The electrics start and reverse are so handy i love it. But if you drain yoiur battery and ur in the middle of know wheres ur screwed cuz theres no back up kick start. the warrior is alot better with flat track tires the warrior is also good in sand dunes but nothing like a banshee or raptor. if you have any other questionsyou can PM me. hope i helped

The warrior is a very relaible machine and its motor/trans is (almost) bulletproof. The only problem with mine (which was a 92') was that the tie rod ends easily bent. It is a great quad. It may not be the lightest or fastest quad out there but I believe that since Yamaha hasn't done any major changes to the Warrior in the last 16 years, well, Yamaha must have known they did something right,
