Something about being called fat that just offends me.
Bubba the power is there even in stock form, but most of these poor V-Force owners have absolutely no idea what to do with their clutch and aren't capable of holding the front end down on takeoff. Just by changing the primary spring to a Polaris brown I went from losing by 4+ quadlengths to my brother's Banshee to only losing by one quadlength. I put in a purple spring from a Sportsman 500 clutch kit and added the Alien duals and was beating the Banshee by 1-3 lengths every race and easily beating the Raptor by 5-6 lengths every race. The V is already faster than my Scrambler that I had $1800+ invested into the motor, clutch and swingarm. When the parts become available to tune the clutch right and the cams, pistons, carbs, etc., etc. become available people will be amazed at what they will do.

First off LMFA off at DSracer. I thought he must have one bad looking quad or something if your not going to talk $hit... Then went and seen what you were talking about LOL
I have to agree again about the V-force having potential. For a stock bike its pretty strong, and with dual exhausts it sounds awsome! The only hold back on these bikes is the clutch assembly, and the swing arm. Give the aftermaket people some time and this bike will be should be impressive! Time will tell!
Kevin... Dunbar WV? I just PM'd you I'm in Liberty.

I've ridden a KFX700. I didn't like the way it handled and the delay in the throttle but it will move along pretty well. Stock it comes with 22" tires so it is a little harder to do a fair comparison with a Raptor in a straight drag race. I can see it beating a stock Raptor if the clutch springs were tighter. To be honest though, is it ever fair to compare any bike to a stock Raptor that can hardly breathe? In all fairness, a Raptor owner needs to be allowed to open the airbox and rejet the carb at least. This is like a $6 mod. The other factor that slows the Raptor down considerably on the top end is the 13 tooth front sprocket. Yamaha couldn't go higher since they weren't allowed to exceed 75mph top speed.
In any case, the KFX700 quad is doing really well in the GNCC series. I think it is easily 50 lbs heavier than it needs to be. This is the same weight as a 2X4 Kodiak less the racks and the Kodiak still has 25" tires and steel wheels. Doesn't seem like Kawi tried too hard to reduce any weight. Maybe a later rendition of this bike will lighten it up considerably.
I sit on the fence about putting a new rider on this quad. It has the power to flop the whole quad over if you aren't careful on technical hillclimbs. Beginners often have no finesse when it comes to the throttle. I would probably still opt to put a beginner on something like the 250ex if they can't handle a clutch. I do find the 400ex to be a good beginner quad too since it is harder to stall than most manual clutch quads.

It amazes me the narrow mindedness of some people
How can it be a sport quad with an automatic?
For riders who don't know how to pull a clutch in?
For fat people who can't get their fat foot under the shifter?
It sure would be a shame if (some people) lost their left fingers in an accident and could no longer clutch
It sure would be a shame if (some people) lost their left foot in an accident and could no longer shift
It sure would be a shame if (some people) that are perfect became imperfect due to something they have no control over, and have to make adjustments to their lifestyle
For those (some people), if anything did happen to them as mentioned above, they would probably lay down, feel sorry for themselves and not try in seek out alternative sources for riding
There is a right quad for everybody, whatever their particular needs are. The only bad quad is no quad.

If you think the Rappy is "Smuthered" then you otta see what the V-force's engine has to go through to push its exhaust out!! I have taken a stock siliencer and gutted it, and I can tell you that I have seen MAZES for labortory rats, that was easier from pionts A-B then this exhaust!!
I will be modifying the stock siliencer to "breath" and will see how she works.
Bigger.

I hear ya bigger, and not to take up for either bike on this matter.... but you have to consider the stock Rappy pipe has that block plate half way in the muffler that chokes its brains out as well.
Both bikes are really restricted in stock form. I think a more fair question and one that I would like to see is what a properly Piped, jetted, air box moded Rappy would do with a V force with the same mods!

Hey ya'll, I was just playing around with the fat feet thread....I didn't think so many people would take it so personal....I don't have anything against the v-force...and I don't care whether the raptor is faster or slower, stronger or weaker....all I care about is that I have fun on whatever quad I'm riding...
