The alky part was probably your biggest deal with this guy and as far as having the ports "cut". I am sure he meant pollished.

when you "port and polish" a motor, you dont "cut" anything when you polish. The term "polish" is used when the builder/porter smooths the exhaust port to a polished type finish keeping the turbulance of the exhaust gasses as low as possible.

The guy was most likely talking about a triple exhaust port. To do this they must weld on the face of the cylinders and cut new exhaust ports in the motor simular to a trx. You can get this done at A@S, packard enterprises (i think), tyson racing, shorty's racing, and dynoedge. Im sure there are some i left out like D&M and K&T

dabeechman, what gains does having tripple exhaust ports give over regular port set up is it only a couple hp or so and is it worth the money to do.

Actually vision, What he probably meant is when you run the stock Banshee cylinders and really getting all you can get out of them from porting the cylinder is welded up on the outside along the intakes, sides and exhaust ports and then when you port it you can go deeper into the cylinder to open it up further and still maintain some strength of the cylinders. Also you can weld up certain areas to the exhaust ports and port it to have tripple exhaust ports which he may have done. I've got a friend of mine that has a 510cc Banshee with stock cylinders stroked and this type of work has been done to his by Rudy at Port Magic. If you were to see the cylinders on the bike it looks as if he had cracked the cylinders severly and saved them by welding all over them. So it is true you can weld up and rework certain areas of the cylinders but not everyone can do this type of work. Later Slim
