whats wrong with trinity racing alot of ppl here dont seem to like them or are having problems with them same with some ppl at the local atv dealer , fill me in before i take my engine to um....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

I had Trinity bore my jug and port/polish the head, install a larger center valve, and do a valve job. I have an 11:1 piston, web cam, and run pump gas. I estimate the HP to be between 55 and 60HP. I am comparing mine to GregV who has the same setup dynoed 54hp on Ohton Racing's dyno. His jetting was way off and smoke billowed out of his exhaust. Mine runs very well. . A stock raptor dynoed 30?? hp on that dyno the same day. As far as I know Trinity was one of the first shops doing 686 bikes for customers such as Kingrapor and RobJohnson. As time passed, Trinity and others such as Craycraft started pulling more and more hp out of the 686 configuration. 14mins had an early Trinity motor similar to mine and now he and others have gone to higher compression, race gas, titanium this and that, ballanced, coatings, bla bla bla. 14mins Craycraft 686 made 67hp in January and I am sure he is pumping more now. I heard Rob Johnson had problems with his bike but eventualy pumped out similar HP as 14mins. Kingraptor has a low compression Trinity 727 on NOS and I duned all weekend with him. His bike seems to be reliable but he did have a NOS problem. Mhargrove has a Trinity 465ex bike on NOS that dunes all day and tackled the hill as well. My buddy has a Trinity 440ex and it runs exceptionaly strong and smokes all pump gas 440's. I am sure airraptor will tell you all about his bike.

Robertson Cycle in Nebraska built Zombies and Velocityraptors motors and from what I hear, they rip!! I like Harry at Trinity, Bob Craycraft, Curtis Sparks, and I have heard good things about Kenz Cycle in AZ.

oh all kindsa stuff ported, billet rod, carbs, clutch kit, titanium valve springs medium rev cam maybe nitrous and a turbo later on.

 

I like trinity, I just can't afford it. hehe

 

You might want the hi-rev cam if you want to stand a chance against the Sparks boys. And some NOS!

but if i get the high rev cam i have to buy $1000 carbs....

 

go with the nos, turbos are higher maintance and you have to spool up the boost and it is harder to keep it up, nitrous is there when you hit the button, but watch out its addicting.
