ok this is my prob. i got a toomey a few weeks ago and i jetted down to a 290 and it is still falling on its face. i got a compression check and it is 100 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img] how low can it go befor you blow your motor. should i put a new top end in?? also what type of top end kit should i get?? wiesco or vito??

 

Was it acting the same way before you put the pipe on...Its definitly time for a rebuild.....i would get the vitos it has more power.......HOw did you set the air box up....i run a 300 in mine with no airlid and im at sea level and it runs great.......

 

I run a 310 at 4000' no lid and it runs great. did you move the needle up one per instructions? that is, move the clip down one.

 

if i am not mistaken, i am running a 210 in my blaster (28 mm) carb while u guys are running 310's etc..can someone explain why my jet is so much smaller?

 

every motor is diffrent! Thats why, plus temp. and humidity has a roll in jetting.

 

Its probably becuz you have a bigger carb..

 

100 pounds of compression is not very good if i were you bore over to the next size and put in a vitos piston I've had vitos in mine for awhile and they work great.
