How did you get the 13:1 compression piston already. I have been looking for one but they say they will not be out for awhile. Do you know where I can get my hands on one.

ummmm..... NO IT ISNT. The stock compression of a 2004 yamaha YFZ450 is 11:9. The stock compression of a yz is 12:5. And the after market, factory yamaha piston is 13:1.
In answer to your question, No, I have no gotten one yet, I am waiting to hear more about them. Not sure if you can still run normal pump gas with it?
YOu can order it form your local yamaha shopr. However, I have not heard of any place that has them yet.

people are power freaks........I am one of them. I think the thing is going to be rediculous once I get an exhaust for it. let alone, starting to dink around with the motor! I'm going to wait on the piston though, see what others think. I dont really want to be mixing gas. Thats part of the reason I like having a 4-stroke.
I will be dling the "cam mod", or I will just get the yzf exhaust cam. One of the two.

My friend works for Yamaha, He has a couple for testing. I have done some test riding for him at Carslbad and Racetown and it works awesome. Yes there is a bunch on B/O, but they will be getting them in soon (probably 2-3 weeks tops).

I would be surprised if you can run pump gas with the 13:1 comression piston. I know I would go ahead and just run race gas.
But first I got to learn how to keep the front end down on the bike the way it is. WHAT A GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE!..
