Point is they are both top dogs in their respective fields, and sometimes it's like comparing apples to apples as far as dependability is concerned.
ah, but I can say the same thing about my Mopars. I've been driving Dodge and Jeep since 1990, never had one major problem. 120k on my first Dakota, 60k on my second and 13k on my current Jeep

works both ways, I work with people that have had NOTHING but trouble with their Honduh and other rice burners

Domestic forever!!!!

I thought they were both the best. My Brother bought a Bombardier outlander. At first I laughed at him for such foolishness. Then I rode it. Then I went to the dealer and bought one. 3 year warranty, feather soft suspension, front wheels lock atomatically in heavy mud, the list goes on. $5100. Dollar for dollar, Honda and Yamaha dont have a machine that compares. Think im a fool? Ride one.

I used to be of the Opinion that "I'd rather have a sister in a whorehouse, than a brother on a Honda!"

BUt seriously I've had lots of Hondas, Kawasakis, Suzukis, and Yamahas. Every single one was practicaly indestructable, even if you ran them out of oil, oooops. I would not hesitate in buying any of the above brands, assuming the bike was suited to me.

I do think that the Yamaha has the current lead in mass market appeal, and has the most popular products.

Honda, Suzuki or Kawasaki could change that with the next years lineup of machines, But will they??? I hope so, just to up the ante, if nothing else.

Somebody in another thread suggests that Honda is too carefull and reserved to come out with anything bold or fast, anybody remember the Honda CBX six cyclinder MC? or how about the inline four. ANybody remember the Inline six cylinder GP bike from the '50s??? THe point is Mr Honda got where they are today because they had products people wanted, and I don't think the current lull in Honda machines is significant, I believe they will be back.

Yamaha, Came a long way, delivering strong powerful machines in both 2 and 4 wheels, They know the market well, and continue to produce amazing machines.

Suzuki, we ain't heard the last from them,

Kawasaki,??? maybe dead, reselling Suzuki made machines.

THem other machines....Where can you even get parts for them screwy things. I know this will **** people off, but, I consider them, "also ran" machines.

Honda, or Yamaha? Either one, if you can find one.
