Maybe. But at that level it will be an unreliable P.O.S. that will have to be revved to 7000 RPM just to pull away from a standstill. Good luck with the timebomb.

Probably. But it won't be on a naturally aspirated YFZ. Unless Yamaha introduces a YFZ650 sometime soon.

 

isn't comparing a yfz 450 to a raptor like apples to oranges, i mean they're both designed for different things and in different states of tune. sure the raptor built will beat the 450 in a drag, but come on, its going to have at least a 200cc advantage depending on the size of the motor. but the yfz is always going to be lighter and rev quicker and higher. i believe motocrosser stefan everts in europe has a works yz 450 dirt bike with a 500 kit that he races in the open GP's against open class ktms and whatnot, which is probably making around 60 hp without two much trouble.
