Raptor Crankcase breather blowing oil

Default Raptor Crankcase breather blowing oil

Craycraft did the bore and ring gap to their specs. That part is correct. My oil does not turn black right away. It takes some riding before it gets black.

Try extending your breather hose and run it up to your handlebars and zip tie it where you can see it when your on your next hill shoot.

Default Raptor Crankcase breather blowing oil

My Raptor only takes just over 2 quarts with an oil and filter change. Maybe 2.1 quarts at max. Are you checking it per the service manual recommended method? Just an idea.

I think a leakdown test is the first thing you do. What is your piston to wall clearance? Some people set them up looser than others like drag motors. Just a thought.

wshrdskn- Rings will last a long time with good oil and frequent changes. I replaced my rings after 18 months even though they still looked/felt fine.
