What you are saying does make sense, I think you're right.

So what are the pros & cons?

Can I run this ultimate 4 in my YFZ450 that just has a sparks pipe with jetting?

Is it extra hard on my motor?

Will I have to rejet?

can I just mix it 50/50?

Or can I just pour it in and haul ***!!

Thanks for the inquiry.

VP Ultimate-4 is an oxygenated fuel. The approximate amount is around 6% oxygen.

Thanks again for choosing VP.

VP Pacific

Now I know I will never try the MRX01 as it is only 2.55% Oxygenated. It certainly won't do any better and is twice as expensive as the Ultimate 4. I'm probably not jetted right to see proper gains from useing this fuel. jmo

Just think of a oxygeated fuel like a mild shot of nitrous. When nitrous is under heat and pressure it breaks down to Oxygen and nitrogen. the oxygen is used to burn the extra fuel being added by the system and the nitrogen just goes out the exhaust. When you use a oxygenated fuel oxygen is release fuel burnt and more fuel is need to stop it from leaning out. It really is cheap HP

I don't know about cheap. It costs alot a gallon (more than alky) and only gives UP TO 6% more hp. On my piped/jetted Raptor, let's be optimistic and say that is has 45 rwhp, with Ult. 4 it is possible I could get it up to 47.7 hp. That is a change but I just don't know if it justifies its price, thats all.

VP MR9 makes the most power on a stock machine, High compression engines beware, it does not have a high octane rating. It's not legal for sanctioned competition. But VP claims around 8% increase in power.

Heres an update for anyone wanting or running the race fuel...I pulled my motor apart yesterday after about 40 gallons of Ultimate 4 and the piston top looked cherry...the valves looked awesome...the exhaust had only a mild lead deposit buildup

C12 is higher octane than the U4
it has a motor octane of 108
leaded but not oxygenated
c12 is good stuff and can be mixed 50/50 with pump gas saving money and still giving you 99 octane

If you like c12 give VP RED a try...its a little lower octane(105), but cheaper as well

it appears as though a oxygenated race fuel is better than a non oxygenated race fuel,
so then what vp fuel has about the same octane as c12 but is oxygenated?
