Default Trying to come up with Raptor carb spacers, need ideas

I have access to plastic (not sure what kind) stock, big chunks of it in any thickness pretty much, and I have an extra set of Raptor carb boots in my garage, so I got to thinkin, I could just trace one of the carb boots, and cut it out, and have a spacer. I could even put a groove in it for an o-ring. BUT, I'm not sure how I could get the distane shorter between the Carbs and the airbox. does anyone know if you can buy a shorter tube? I could cut the stock tube, then melt it back togeter. That might not work too well. Any ideas? Also, what is the best size spacers to make? How much farther back would produce the most horsepower gains?

Adam- just buy kelly's old ones and epoxy the holes. The ideal would be 5/8th of a inch. You should get your quad all dialed in first before you start trying to improve
