I went through 8 gallons last week. Gas is expensive too. Why do four wheelers use up more gas per mile than cars?

I went through a lot of gas in the past week as well. Actually, a hell of a lot of gas in the past month, we have been doing some serious riding. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Mine used to be pretty good on gas until the pipe and jet kit. Then the power picked up, and the gas mileage went down. But it's not to bad. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

well one time i spent a week at pismo and went threw 6 cans..... but i sure had fun [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

I get about 160-170km on a tank trail riding .. that's 9 litres .. umm hang on I'll do some conversions .. I'll even use the US gallon

2.34 US Gallons, say an average of 165km or 103miles, roughly 44 miles to a US gallon. For an Imperial gallon (what we use in Canada as a conversion from litres) that would be

1.98 Imp Gallons for 103 miles is roughly 52mpg ... The Warrior is really sweet on gas!!! I love it!

 

Well I go through about a tank if im lucky. I'm usually just using the dirtbike for trails and the raptor for races and such but either or I get about a tank a week. I don't get 52mpg either, if I did it would be around a tank every 4 weeks!

I really can't tell how gas I use due to the fact that I fill up after every ride. whether I ride for 20 mins or a hour. but I did notice that my friends rappy make alot better gas mileage than I do, but I'm two stroke. Can't wait to get the rappy and ride with the big boys finally. even though I'm the oldest(30) out of our group I feel the youngest on a blaster.

 

usually i go through about 7 gallons a week, because i have to fill up all my gas cans once a week.

 

this summer ive rode everyday and i put about 4 or 5 gallons in it a day so about 28 gallons
