The big HP shows up way more on a hill race than flat drags, the race starts like a gun fight you see a twich pull the trigger. Those Whoops with Big HP are Tuff But just go WFO

 

Well, I dont want this thread to turn into a West vs. east type of thing. I know thier are some VERY fast 4-strokes out in the west, and they are every bit as fast as here in the mid-west. What I was wanting was the oppurtunity to race a Sparks quad at LS, were the races are flat and it is more equal. A big man like me has no business trying to keep up with the smaller guys up those big hills. Newtons law really apply's to hill-shooting, and I am smart enough to know I will never be able to compete on a serious level out thier.

LS is dead center of the US, and offers some great sand drags. I am willing to bet that thier is people that live n the east coast that would love a chance at SPARKS also


I am not the fastest around here, and hold no expectations of beating Sparks, but I know that thier are a dozen quads that would love to get the opperunity to line up with SPARKS. It the very least it would be a BLAST!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I can respect that style of drag racing, But if you have ever raced at a strip you will know that .5 of a second equals up to about 3-4 quad lenghts at 300ft. A 4-stroke will have to have 10 more horse power in their quad to over-come a .5 second delay at the start.

Also I tried my best to run those whoops at WFO throttle and twice I went over the handle bars!! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img] Screw that.

I think we could round up a few for LS for a good race / trip. Just need to give plenty of notice and pick the right time of the year.

I wouldn't plan it any sooner than that or you won't get the big boys.

Supprising there isn't more sponsorship for 4SW's. Think of all the money that has been spent since that event! I know I started dropping the bills after DS-Days Labor Day Weekend 2002 (hated seeing the back of all those other DS's.) Unfortunately, I am not the only one that dropped the $$, Jeff, AZSAND, Punisher, Majorecho, Vegas650, CapcityDS, etc.

14 - how have Craycraft's sales been since 4SW's???

It makes since for these guys to show. Most people feel much more comfortable sending their engine to someone they have met (+ the builder gets to go on a fun trip and write off the expenses of the trip!)

Any other thoughts for dates for an event at LS? I have never been and would enjoy seeing another great riding area! (Please - just give plenty of notice and don't go after dates of other events, i.e. MLK weekend - 4SW, Thanksgiving - most attend their own areas + too close, X-mas- bad plan too many wouldn't be able to make it with family obligations, Memorial Day Weekend - for us that is Sand Mt., NV, Labor Day Weekend - Sand Mt. NV also.)

 

you guy's im on your side but ask jeffinrivercity he had a taste of the sparks boys at pismo,and 14 every where i go there is a fast sparks bike here on the west,and it aint no little kid,even the anilihater had a taste too,and he had somcoeds old DS..

If your bikes are faster than the ones at 4sw then i have to see it run,to date that sparks bike at 4sw was the fastest i have seen,i am working on beating them here with the CrayCraft and i am not far behind,i hope to see when you beat them because they dont like that much...

And flat drags are totally diffrent then the hill drags,i usually race the big hill drags but latley been doing the flat drags and had to change a few things on the bike..

If anyone is going to give them a run it would be you guys..

 

If anybode is going to show them up it would be at 4SWIII, Especially some guy's from the east whipping on them,there are flat drags at Gecko if the whoops are too bad..

I could definatley come up with a date. I really would love to see everyone from out west here. I know thier are ALOT of fast quads that run in Louisana that would come , also the MO guys(the bom,dunedevil),and I can bet ZOmbie, Velocity (robertsons quads) would come also. Us Okla/Tex boys is a given!! LOL.

The bike i personally raced i was atleast 3 behind ,but they were not pulling away,they have there takeoffs down and shottout of the hole fast,i think that is where they get there lead,they are not pulling on anybody..But once you beat the 727 or the 690 raptor then they bring out a z-400 that was whipping on everyone there,and i doubt that there is a z-400 beating everyone down there in Oklohoma or texas,.,....If you guy's are faster than them ,guess who the man is!

Did any of you guys at FSWII who didnt what to races on olds go to gecko and race on the flats, every night every one flat drags down there. if so what were the results at gecko
