Silly Girl I said Real Trailer, Like a 40' Gooseneck for fifth wheel. Bumber Pulls do not tow well but do have their advantages in rough terrain.

I didn't say "high rpm's", I said "higher rpm's". My new desiel has a 5-speed with 3:73's, my old had a 5-speed with 4:10's thus higher rpms on the highway...becaue of the gearing, not the tranny in this case. It really does make a difference when driving long distances and it helps fuel economy even in a desiel. A 5-speed also takes off from a dead stop a lot smoother. I heard GMC and Ford are currently working on a 6-speed. That should say something.

Girlygirl, don't let that be the reason to never own another Ford. Unfortunately **** happens to all of them. It was under warranty right? Trust me, I have owned many Chevy's and have had great luck with most but a never-ending nightmares with others. As with all manufactureres some models are better than others, some years are better than others, and then some are just lemons. But hey, the manufacturers are hoping to get you brand loyal because it helps put money in thier pockets.
