2003 F-250, Powerstroke, Crew Cab, Short Bed, 4x4. Currently running 14.30s in the quarter.
I own and operate a truck accessory store. I keep a CLOSE eye on the truck market and what's selling hot. FYI....GM just passed Dodge in Diesel sales for this year. While it's by a small margin, they have still sold more. Ford is still king of the hill in this market. Dodge needs to step it up. They are way behind in a lot of things in this market. Smaller cab (crew cab), no five speed auto with braking, worst resale value, and slowest of the three. With the release of the new 600 Cummins I thought things would change a little. It is putting out more HP and Torque than the Ford yet it's still slower in accelleration loaded and unloaded.

I personally drive a Chevy, But wouldn't hesitate to own a Ford. I have not had good luck with Dodge anything and a guy at work has had two new doges in the last 4 years. He liked the truck , But hated the mileage so he bought a Chevy and he says the Chevy is getting 5 mpg better than his Dodges. I was out helping set up for our state fair and at the Ford booth they have the monster truck Blue Thunder and a sign saying built Ford tough. I went over and looked at it and it has a big block Chevy engine in it.

Girlygirl, don't let that be the reason to never own another Ford. Unfortunately **** happens to all of them. It was under warranty right? Trust me, I have owned many Chevy's and have had great luck with most but a never-ending nightmares with others. As with all manufactureres some models are better than others, some years are better than others, and then some are just lemons. But hey, the manufacturers are hoping to get you brand loyal because it helps put money in thier pockets.
