I think you are getting mixed advice on jets, DJ numbers are different than Mikuni numbers. If you have a DJ needle and jets, you should not need to go over 146/148 with your mods. I still maintain that you are running rich and that's why you don't have the same top end that you did when you were stock. If your off-idle and mid range performance are good, leave your pilots and needles alone, focus your attention on those main jets since they control the top end performance.

i took my bike on some sand dunes in baja "PunTa ColoNet", pretty fun dunes specially the straight up hills. well it died on me twice it was way too rich so thanks to my prepared thinking i brought along my jets and my tools and went back to 148 150. so ill stay there until i get new carb(s). and if i can say I hATE JETING!

Probably asked before but what elevation are you at? I am at sea level and when i used to have my DJ kit, I had a 148/150, 3rd notch, 3 turns out on the a/f, 27.5 pilots, A lid, no snorkle and a one inch oval hole in the rear of the lid and it ran PERFECT!

yeah i have but it runs too lean.. thats what made my pipes go purpleblue reddish color. so i went up to 148/150. besides thats the set up for the stock box with snorkle just with the flaps cut of from the inside.

That was before and after the stock bore 11:1 and cam. I't ran great at 148/150 with pipe and filter no lid. Same results at 150/155. With the mods I have now I run 170/175 Dyno Jets. That seems way high to me for your setup.
