Default Lots Of torque, no speed.

i have a 2004 raptor and i added a yoshi complete exaust, dyno jets 148- 150, k&n filter with proflow, running no without a lid. this set up gave me more power and pops wheelies with ease but it does not have speed. when i was stock it was hangin with my friends stock ds and now it just seems it takes off after 3rd gear... is anybody experiencing anything alike? if so could you tell me how you corrected it?

You might be a little rich. When I was running a Yoshi on the stock engine, I used 146/148 with the needles on the 3rd clip. I am at sea level so anything higher would require smaller jets.

Dyno jet also told me to run 170/175 mains but when I did that it really seemed to fall off on top end so I went back down to 148/150, but i am still not happy with the performance so I am gonna give the GYTR kit a try. From what I have heard that when you run with no lid the GYTR kit is the only way to go.

wshrdskin was running 150/155 in his but I'm not sure if it was after a cam and piston. I would try those anyway, 170/175 sounds like to much to me also.

Well Send Me a Message When you try it out, in the mean time im going to run the stock neddles with larger jets maybe 165 170. is your bike strong in the lower gears also or how was it performing with the dynojets?

Go a little lower, 146/148, and see how the top end performs.

I was at 146/148 working great until i raced a a couple of times and i noticed after 3rd i was taken. theni used 148/ 150 a bit more power on take off but top end was same. now i installed the 170/175DJ's and it idles well and i revved it a couple of times and it didtn bogg out right away. tomorrow ill test drive it to see if it boggs on top.
