i have a 1994 banshee, pretty much stock. the other day, i had the fuel petcock set to "ON" and was riding as normal when i ran out of gas. i switched over to "reserve" and couldn't get the thing started. (tried for ten minutes) so after i dumped some gas in, it started right up. so, i guess i don't really have a reserve tank. anyone dealt with this before??

and, no, i didn't have the fuel switch set to "reserve" in the first place.

thanks for any info.

Maybe your res. tube is plugged with the junk build up on the bottom of the tank. Take the fuel switch off and clean out the tank and see if there is anything plugging the hole.

I would say first make sure there is nothing blocking the hose up and when u refill start on reserve then as it fills move it over to regular. I have run out of gas more then once and reserve has bailed me out.
