Well I can tell you one thing, What a bunch of crap is getting spewed on this one!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img] First of all let me start of buy saying that I really like Canada alot. Very beautiful Country, and most Canadians I have met are very friendly and courteous. Some of the French Canadians I have met are a little less desirable though. Geez! were does one begin for a lesson in American Constitutionalism? The reason Americans have guns and that we are proud to have guns is because our founding fathers were smart enough to have included the 2nd ammendment, " The Right to bare Arms". The reason they incorporated this into the Constitution was because of the Past corrupt nature of British Government. Our right to own weapons is there so when a foriegn invader or a government that has become corrupt we have the right to take action upon them.

Let's look at a very memorable moment in past history that should tell all of you something. Let's talk about a little Greasy Austrian guy by the name of Adolph Hitler. Little to most people know, that the majority of German citizens were apposed to Hitler and his **** party. It is a well known fact that Citizens of Germany owned weapons of varying types, mostly Rifles for hunting. Well Hitler ruled by fear as you should all well know, but what he was afraid of was the people rising up against him. So what alot of you didn't know is that Germany had a weapon registration program before Hitler was even around. So all Hitler had to do was pull the files of all Germans that owned guns, sent out all his SA and SS soldiers in the late evening to all these homes across Germany and took there weapons from them before they ever knew what hit them!! So, they had no way to protect or defend themselves from there wonderful new corrupt Government.

Now back to modern day America, the same law applies here. I am not much of one for conspiracy theories, but in this case it makes me wonder. Democrats are dead set against people having weapons, WHY? No comes the answer to the gentlemen who brought up the story of the Roman Empire!! Yes the U.S. is the biggest and strongest Super power in the world and yes one day it will crumble, but not by an outside force. The United States has been infiltrated by people from all over the world who really could care less about this country but live here because it was better than the country they lived in. Now, do you think the guy who just fled here from Chechneya would grab a gun and go across the ocean to fight for America? Hell No!!! People in America that are at least not third or fourth or older generations could care less!!! All they are worried about is today and what America can do for them and not what they can do for America! We let illegals into this country everyday who could care less about America. So my Canadian Brothers!, Yes there will soon be a day when the great Superpower United States will one day fall. And that fall will be called the Second Revolutionary War! People of the United States who were lucky enough to have been born to earlier generations such as myself are fed up with the way our government is. They take from the poor and give it to the rich! They send our work to you and China and Mexico, WHY? You ask! I will tell you because they have become fat and Greedy and Monopolistic! They don't care about us Blue collar workers at all! If it weren't for our Unions here you wouldn't want to see or Unemployment rates!! They would triple overnight! These people are out for number one and the Old philosophy, " The needs of the Many outweigh the need of the few or the one" No longer apply! It has become every man for himself! F@$k the little guy! These corporations have sold us out just so they can make a couple of extra bucks! they were making a descent profit on goods produced here in America and they could afford good Old fashioned Quality American labor. But Oh NO!! Hewaven forbid that they may loose a couple of bucks off of each sale because the could have a Chinese made product for half the price and Quality!

I hope the day of reckoning for the United States doesn't come while I am still alive, or wait! I take that back. I actually would like to be for that, because I would like nothing better than to stick $100.00 bill I had to scratch for and bleed for right down someone like George Bush's throat!!!! And say Thanks for the Memories!!!! AS#@$HOLE!!!!!!!

And you Canadians better wake up also to your B.S. Government! I work in the Movie industry and your Government is killing us here in Hollywood! I am right now flat broke and about to loose all my things because these greedy bastar# producers are taking our work to Canada for a 30% Tax rebate!! And cheaper Labor. You Canadians may think this is great for you but think of it this way. Yeah our production companies are providing jobs for some of your people but at what cost? You may have had the Avro but we had the SR-71 Blackbird a couple of years later that as to this day has still not been beaten in speed or height by any other aircraft in the World!!! And as for your Navy being better than ours? Oh, Hell No!! Would you really want to square off with our Navy? Ask Yourselves!! Do you have an Aircraft carrier when fully laiden with crew and weaponry that can travel at 60+ Knotts? That is around 70 mph for you who aren't naval savvy! That is like seeing the Empire State Building pulling 2000 waterskiers behind it to there Doom! The only country in the world right now that has something even slightly as good or maybe a taste better than ours is France. And I really hate to say that!!! They have the Leclerque and I am sure I spelled that wrong Tank that is just a little ahead of our M1A2 Abrams main battle tank. If we really wanted Canada it would take us a week to conquer it no problem. Especially since you people seem to think having weapons at your home is Terrible and unnecessary!?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img] Who's to say george Bush doesn't really go Adolph and makes up some B.S. thing about Canada whording some stolen oil from a T of the Alaska pipeline? what would you guy's do then? In all honesty think about it. I have my differences with Canada but they are my own, and I generally like Canadians as a whole, but sometimes all of us need a little open eye and education to see the world as it really is.

I don't agree with everything that's been said against the US either. You guys are great and you do a lot of good around the world. You do deserve credit for sticking up for the little guys when needed. In fact, I think that our PM was wrong to not openly support the US on the war against Iraq. Especially since he sent troops anyway!!

In any event .. I'm with the last of the posts .. lock this sucker down .. all it's doing is stirring up $hit .. and I'm not proclaiming my innosence on that charge ...

Your excuse to have guns is to defend your country? Thats why you have a military. The reason they had that gun law back in the day of riding horses and outlaws was because the military back then was nothing, farmers with rifles. Now it is much different, you don't need guns to defend your country.

Also registering your guns is not bad and should be encouraged in this day and age. Hitler ran Germany with fear and removed the weapons from the civilians because no one would stand up. Lets say Bush tried the same thing, it would not work. People have free will and will not follow false orders like that. People have minds of their own, Bush would be removed from office and everything would go back to normal. He can not use the military to do what he wants, that is wrong and no one would follow him.

I do agree with you for most of your post, I just don't believe people need guns and The Right to bare Arms ammendment does not hold water today, laws should be reworked for the modern world. Lets pretend we are in the future, all the other countries in the world have peace and do not use guns. You will still be saying we need guns to protect ourselves because its the law from 1801 (made up date.) Its our right, take it away is the same as taking our freedom away. Well that is wrong, its because you still use a law from 400 years ago, what the hell is that? That was all made up to exagerate my point.

I believe everything, and I mean everything is about money. I know I'm concerned about money and like to have it and I strive to have lots of it so I can buy more toys. This is our freedom, but our freedom is our own downfall. I don't think anyone can run the country correctly because they may have good intentions at first, after a year in office they become corrupt and they soon realize they can not do what they promissed. This happens in all governments, we are people. No one is perfect, a new goverment needs to be created but that is not for me to decide or create.

I'm a former Teamster, the son of a USWA local boss and the grandson of two UAW members. I'm also an NRA member. I'm gonna make this short Punisher. I was feelin' ya for a minute. I thought, this guy is a good conservative, into his guns and his freedom and them BAM I start hearing some socialist stuff.

Take it from someone who grew up immersed in the "union life". Unions in America are now reaping what they have sown. You want $35 and hour to push a button and watch the car go by on the assembly line? Guess what, so does Miguel down in Hermosillo, Mexico. Only he will do it for $13.50. Would you pay the difference if it were your company? Would you let somebody charge you 3x too much to have your tranny fixed in your truck? Why should a publically held company have to pay those jacked up rates? Especially when people like us own the stock through 401k, IRA, mutual funds etc..We are not competitive in THAT SECTOR of manufacturing. If you rely on someone or some entity to provide a means in which to make a living, you will forever live with a blade at your neck.

If I tell my company next year that they are gonna pay me 22% of net income instead of 20% they'll tell me to walk. So I guess I should go home grab an AR-15 and sit out in the parking lot. Or I could just choke the guy out if he decides to cross my personnal picket line. Then my company would have to pay me what I demanded since I didn't let them replace me. I would be a one man union, I'd also be in jail.

Bottom line, you will never be happy in this country. You have "far right" views regarding YOUR personnal liberties but economically you are basically a socialist. You don't like the Democrats who want your guns but you don't like the President who is driving us to the next revolution economically.

Your second amendment example is a little simplistic into what and why the founders meant. The founders wanted to rely on State militias to not only provide for the common defense but to protect themselves from one another. But we NRA folk tend to look at it in absolute being afraid that if you give an inch they will take a mile.

You seem like a well meaning guy and most importantly you stick up for your country but it is impossible to have it both ways when your ideological views are so far apart.
