shift star??
A modded shift star will make your spring pawl on the shift shaft last a lot longer, not to mention making shifting easier too. It requires removing the clutch side cover and the clutch basket too I do believe. It's been awhile since I have been in mine. It goes on with one small bolt in the middle.Bubba

shift star??
Dear Friend;
I bought a used Yamaha Big Bear ATV (400cc) Idle good and reverse and neutral work fine. Problem wont go into any higher gears 2,3,4,5.
I was told might be the SHIFT STAR. iF THIS IS BENT. cAN I TAKE OUT AND STRAIGHTEN IT.
