Kodiak air filter separates at plastic end
Hi. I have two Y2K Kodiaks, and they have both experienced this problem. At the front end of the air filter, the plastic piece that slides into the groove to hold the filter on the bike, separates from the foam filter, leaving a wide gap for the engine to breath dirt. The plastic piece remains in the groove. This usually happens during a bouncy ride, but I don't notice it until the ride is over, and any damage is already done. Does this happen to yours? What can be done about it? I am talking about the stock filter, here.
Thanks,
Don

My 02 does the exact same thing. Or at least it did. I just put it back together and pushed it together using my body weight. Its been a few months and it hasn't come apart yet. If it does I'm either going to get a new Uni or K&N filter but might just put some kind of a block in the back to keep it together in the mean time.
