Anyone modded a 99 kodiak for more power and speed? Top speed is like 35-40mph it seems. I've done the big wheel kit, that sucked half the power out of it. I've also added a uni filter and rejetted (mine actually was jetted for CA, and I bought it in MN!)

Without going big bore, just wondering if there is any mods anyone has found for good power increases. This is a semi-auto, not fully like the 2000+'s are.

 

Im sure there are exhausts for it. But by putting that one thats still not going to give you enough with a big wheel kit so I would go with a small overbore maybe .030 or .040 over and run a higher compression piston. you would have to jet even higher that what it is now and it would give you more power. If thats not enough, Web Cam makes a cam for it. If you decide to get the cam, go with the .390 lift, the .430 will be too big for your 4x4.
