For stealth you definitely don't want two stroke .. they'll hear you coming long before they see you ... as for power instead of speed .. again i'd say (in my limited experience and from reading other posts here) 2-strokes are all about speed. That's why most people here like them .. for the CC size you get a very fast machine .. Most of the 2-stroke 200's and 250's would eat my Warrior alive. Four strokes tend to have more grunt.

I've never ridden a 2-stroke quad b4 .. ridden lots and lots of skidoos and a couple 2-stroke dirt bikes .. i'd like to get a rip on a modded blaster or stock shee or both just to see what all the craze is about

Im just joking too,but i will still hand it to you if you want.....

You might be able to pick something up for 2 grand, might just need a little work, but that's what makes you love your bike and take care of it,as long as you are willing to learn and keep on trying..

Comments will be said left and right talking $hit, that's the way it is,but your response to there question shows what kind of man you are plain and simple..

I think, that I modified blaster would be a good route. you can't find a 400ex for 2000 grand, and I think it would be hard to find a banshee for $2000 that is in good or moderate running condition. goood luck!

Lol, well this is one NO bs thread. I kinda like it. The brutal honesty makes me smile. I am sure u can find a nice 2 stroke somewhere for under 2g's. I spent 1750 on my banshee which can keep up with 686 rappys. So yeh, good deals are to be found. But the thing is this guy had it in the paper for over 2 months before I ended up buying it. It ran great though for 1750.

But where do you live? I really need to sell my quad due to a car accident and only having plpd.

i think i know what you meant when you said no 4 stroke b.s. i think you just don't want a smaller 4 stroke like a 250ex or z250 or even 300ex. in that case yes i can understand ya, because a blaster will beat a 300ex usually. but these big 4 strokes haul !!! hey i know a guy in the trading post that has a 1999 lt250R for 2000$ dollars. it has a freshly rebuilt motor and a new carb. u say you are in the eastern shore, and this dude i know is in virginia. if you want I'll give you the number and you can call him up. it just might be worth the drive !

I would look at an lt250r. I see a couple in the paper each month and they are usually under two grand. If I got an lt250r I would get a 1988-1992 model. They are better than the 86's and 87's. They are very fast. With a pipe they can run with stock shee's. The only bad thing about them is there looks. they are UGLY.
