Im kinda thinking about getting one and swinging it out about 4in for a drag/play bike. 45HP to the rear wheels with cheap mods isnt bad, and with the 350lbs I think it would fly on the dirt and asphalt. I was thinking about seeing what Honda cooks up, but I have always liked the 'hit" and more aggressive nature of the yamaha engine as opposed to the Honda 450.

my dad just bought one and we did some tar drags.
his was bone stock and my mods are listed below.
when I rode my ds I killed him throght every gear and pulled away on top speed! about 6+- runs
when we switched he pulled out first but I soon cought him and was about dead even top speed! another 6+- runs
he had about 15-20lb on me!
so for a bone stock quad 200cc smaller that thing ripped!

Did you really kill him dsracer or just pull ahead a little bit because I watched a piped DS and I no baffle or lid 450 race up a hill and the 450 took hill. However that was on sand and up a hill (weight difference came into play) so maybe its different on tar

every gear I shifted I pulled away 1 quad length, and top speed was about 2mph faster +-
we were close compared to my other friend on the raptor, and the 400ex never had a chance
the road was about 500-600 YARDS long before we had to start slowing down and I was about 5+- quad lengths ahead.
BUT when we switched we were dead even almost every time!
