Warrior 500 ......parts help
#1
I came across an old article in Dirt wheels magazine about a guy who took a Wolverine 350 and made it into a 500. The article said he used a Kodiak 400 rod and cylinder resleeved, but it didnt say for what size piston. All i need to know is what piston was used. I want to do this to my Warrior 350.
Any one have anymore info on this ?
THANKS

Well Ill tell you, I have an FST 446 and it has an 87mm bore and a 75mm stroke, stock is 83mm x 64.5mm. You can order a piston that big from wiseco. You will still have to stroke the crankshaft among some other things and get a sleeve from LA. SLEEVE. Without having a machine shop and really knowing what you are doing I wouldnt recommend trying it. Mickey Dunlap doesnt make the 500 kit anymore because it isnt cost effective, you have to make a different engine mount on the frame because of Cylinder height on the 500s among some other things. The best thing to do is take it to Four Stroke Tech and have Mickey press your crankshaft for a longer stroke and buy the sleeve too. Ask him about a 500 and if there is anyway you can go make one. Im sure he will be helpful in explaining it to you. He can tell you more than we can.
