Civilian job on a military base? This type of thing never occours to us regular folk

 

texas is a pretty cool place. I wouldn't live much further west than austin though. If you want to be near sand dunes I wouldn't move. Things get pretty redneck in the southeast but there are some good trails and tracks.

 

Yeah this base is basically a place where all the military sends there equipment to get repaired. Examples would be F-16 needs a major overhaul, it comes here, and the civilians do the work along with the military. The missiles I work on need to be replaced in Montana, they ship a missile from here to Montana, that is where the truck drivers come in. When the Air Force needs a missile trailer fixed it comes here. Basically if you were to work in a Jiffy Lube, people bring there cars to you to change the oil, right? Same thing here, the Air Force brings there equipment here to get fixed. Hope that clarifies it a little better.
