Okay here is my dilema.

I'm going to silver Lake in about week. I'm driving up from New Jersey. I'm on a strict budget. I bought a 2001 Raptor and it came witha GYTR exhaust. It looks nice, sounds loud and has NO SPARK arrester in it whatsoever which is required to ride in the dunes at Silver Lake Michigan.

I called my Dealer today and I think 2002-20003 models of the Exhaust DOES come with a spark arrester. However they didn't have one and SUPPOSEDLY Yamaha is backordered on them.

Is there such a thing? Is there a dealer I can get one from? I would really hate to cut into my funds for our trip to purchase a slip on just to have a spark arrester. Anyone know of a dealer that might have one or know where I can order one I would greatly appriciate it!!

 

To answer part of you question, Yes you can get a replacment spark arrestor for the GYT-R muffler.

Couldn't help you as to what dealers would have them in stock.

 

Go on ebay, lotsa dealers on there would give you a deal and get one to you ASAP if you just emailed them..... just lookup some items like type in GYTR and you should get a buncha dealer listed items, just email their name and your set..... I've bought tons of stuff that way, it doesn't have to be listed!
