Rear tire vibration/shake -Razr's
#1
Hello ,
I have 20x 11 Razr's on the rear of my Raptor. This isnt a new problem, but one thats been bugging me and I figured Id ask you folks.
When I am on pavement, and my RPM's are low in 2nd gear - you know how the 660 shakes when its too low in RPM for the gear... well, my rear tires for a moment or so right at that shake, also shake like they are made of jello. You can literally see them vibrate/shake back and forth in the sidewalls, over an inch... Is there anything to worry about, or is this what happens with 20's when the machine shakes like a *****. Its only really noticeable on pavement, but Im sure it does it anytime during that low rpm bog/shake. I put more air in the tires to test it ( from 4 to 6.5) and it didnt really change. Anyone elses do that too ?
Thanks. I never worried about it much, but I saw it while my brother was riding my quad, and it looked really bad.. Also when the quad is just sitting stopped, and I give it a shake back and forth sideways, you can see the tire sidewalls flexing in and out like they are super flimsy or something.
T.I.A. for any replies.

The rest just makes it low and wide

Thanks guys, I feel better about it now, and am not going to worry about it.
Just in case any of you were wondering, the rims are Douglas .190 not stock.
I plan on trying to find a set of 19 x 10's and see if that stiffens 'em up.. The 20's just seem too tall anyway.
Thanks again

You think thats bad? Try ridin some bias ply ohstsu 22 inch (or whatever) around on the pavement. now thats some mad shake! But nah, no worries, tires for ATVs are soft and not really ment for pavement.
