this is a question for all of you jetting experts........
I am running.......
11:1 stock bore piston, 736/737 webcam, no air box, k&n, and some port work........and soon to be a sparks X-6
at about 600'
Michael at Dyno jet told me that I need to do the following
170/175
lean the float 2mms
3rd clip
3 turns out?
I know everyone says that the dyno jet sheet is wrong.......do you think the head HONCHO.....(LOL) is wrong?
all of the people that work their told me that he was the only one there that could help me........and I had to call like 5 times to get up with him.....and I left 2 messages with no return......
ne wayz.........does this jetting sound correct?

BigScary,
I was pointing out that it seems that they are giving a generic recommendation. I don't have a high comp piston or a cam. At the time they gave me that rec it was only 60 degrees out. I ended up on the 4th clip with 175 180. Now that it's 90 degrees I'm on the 3rd clip and 165 170. The mains are rich but I don't have the step down that I want.

hey dude.....I just did a plug check for the hell of it.......and the insulator is WHITE!......I mean not tan not brown but WHITE
the rest of the plug is anywhere from tan-black......but the insulator is WHITE!
I'll tell you again what I am running
11:1 Piston, stage one (going to be stage 2)Hotcam, X-6 stainless, dynojets, K&N No lid, Some head work, and right now I am running
165/170 dyno jet
3rd clip
2 1/8 & 2 3/8 turns on the mixture screws
and 27.5 Pilots
it feels kinda surgey(if that is a word) in the mid range like 4500rpm......
but it runs STRONG if you run it WOT
what do I need to change?
Is it lean as hell or am I dumb?
this is one main size richer than what curtis sparks recomended...... he said 160/165 but I went one up just to be safe.......and I guess it wasn't safe enough.......

If it's a brand new plug the porceloin will not turn color right away. It will take some hours on it to get it to change color. Some like them and some don't but I think it's a great way to read plugs.
