Paddles- How Tall? How Wide? How Many?

I was running the 20's also. Raced the same set up rappy as mine except it had 22's in St. Anthonys in July when the sand was way soft. The 20's set up on the sand and spun the 22's dug in. Got a set for me and bogging down on the razor edge tops doesn't happen any more. I am also down to a 12 tooth

I recieved my 22-11-10 Extremes, and I must say they look awsome, we had to pry them apart on the sidewalls as they were stuck together, I guess they just manufactured them. I'm running a 40 tooth now and am thinking of going to a 42 tooth, running a 12 on the front. I want low gearing, is this the setup I want for dunes and hillshots?

12/42 with my 22" haulers is what I used when I was stock bore with mods etc. I show 13/42 now but I'm experimenting still. Gonna try 12/40 at Dumont and 14/40 at Pismo next time I'm there with my current mods.

Thanx for all the response. Got my 21x12x8 8 paddle a couple of weeks ago & they are awesome. Pulls hard up the dunes & throws a great roost. Big weight difference over the Sand Sharks I had. Will be trying the Mohawks up front this weekend.

My Raptor wears 21x12x8's Extreme's with 8 paddles and also outruns almost all piped/jetted/paddle Raptors Ive played around with on the strip or hills at Silver Lake. I think thats a great choice.
Have the Mohawks up front too. Enjoy your ride!

This past weekend at Sandlake talked to and watched this guy running 22-11-10, 9 paddle taller haulers, a kawi 400, 6" extension, stock, that guy ran up and down the treeshots like nobody's business, and he wasn't a young gun. I read before a stock bike couldn't turn them, bull, he rode the crap out of them. What's your opinion?

Happa Rap... my guess is that he's geared down. I've seen lots of people have great luck with taller tires. I'm running 20-10-10, 9 paddle extremes right now and I'm thinking that I'm going to go to 21 or 22 inch tall tires with 9 paddles. The taller tire provides more surface area on the sand, and keeps the floatation factor up.
I'm running 12/42 gears right now and if I go to the taller tires I'm going to go 12/44. I found that I was bogging with my brother's Padla Brat race cut tires and I think a lot of that has to do with the gearing.

The next set I'm getting is 22-11-10, 9 paddle, taller hauler, and also going to 12/44, running 12/42 now with 22-11-10, 8 paddle, extremes. Those taller haulers look awsome.
