Nah, seriously...If I had money...I'd get a Z06 before any other high-end supercar....It has the handling and the ***** to keep up or lead the best of 'em (Porsche, BMW, Benz, Chrysler (Pushrod V10 ain't got sheet on this)..)

I believe its all about the platform. Why start with a 4 banger when you can get a V8 and don't have to put so much into it to run fast times. When i see these little civics with the exhaust and ground effects i just say "WHY?"

 

why mod anything? if you want to go faster .. buy a faster machine ..

some people do it just cuz they can .. or even want to. I like the import mods as a rule. I can't stand those freakin big wings though .. ruins the look of the car to me .. but to each their own!!

Z06 is da stuff dude .. wicked HP stock and STILL get's amazing fuel economy if you're driving like a "normal" person, unlike the Viper which has even more amazing HP stock, but the fuel econ really blows. Not such a big deal in the US I suppose where gas is soo cheap!!

id rather get an SVT than the Z06. Same performance but the Z06 is about $12-15k more? But if u want real speed out of a stock car can u say Mclaren? Ferrari? Saleen?

 

when it comes to imports get the motor first then worry about looks. my parents have a 2000 Mazda miata. its a fun little car but my dad wanted more power. 4grand later and its making 240hp to the ground. nothing like 240hp a six speed and 2200 lbs to carry.

Z06 (stock) = 0-60mph in 3.9s, 1/4 mile in low 12's at 115+ mph..
SVT Cobra (2003, stock) = 0.60mph in 4.7s, 1/4 mile in 12.8 @ 110mph


The Z06 making 405 HP at the crank and the SVT making 390 at the crank...

Not to mention the LS6 is NATURALLY ASPIRATED and still makes more power than the supercharged SVT...

And the Mustang sits on the old-school out-dated CRAPPY-HANDLING suspension and chassis...

The Vette weighs 3115 lbs dry will the SVT Cobra is over 3650 lbs dry...


The Z06 outhandles the SVT by far, is lighter, and is FASTER. You get what you pay for..
