Ever heard of tire spin and traction? The vettes mph was 5-10mph faster than the stang depending on which magazine you get your info from. Dont get me wrong both cars are impressive but everything depends on what you like. I drive a ford truck but my heart always belongs to Chevy muscle. American all the way. You will never catch me driving a rice burner.

 

Magazine racing aside, in the real world on real dragstrips the 03 Cobras are generally quicker by about .2 seconds and slower by about 2 mph than 03 Z06s. That's 100% stock, but things change dramatically about a week after the Cobra owner takes delivery of his shiny new car and buys 3" exhaust, a Lightning blower pulley and K&N filter for it (Cobra owners are alot more likely to have bought their cars to actually race them instead of just owning them as a status symbol, just look at the aftermarket for either car as proof of that statement!). Now he's second only to a Viper and will take one of those out in a couple months when he installs his 3.73 or 4.10 gears without affecting his warranty.
The Cobra is currently untouchable on a dollars[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]erformance ratio amoung cars available in the US.
