what is the highest top speed youve heard of on a quad? (that you dont think is bs)

also, im going to get a kit and some mods for my 2003 blaster and it will be putting out appx. 40 hp. my sprockets are stock, 13 front, 40 rear, and my top speed is 57 mph. i was wondering if anyone could help me calculate my top speed with my new 40 hp motor and sprockets of 14/ maybe 15 front, 38 rear.

maybe 70. that must be one he11 of a kit. There's someone on here with a 265 kit and he is only pulling 37-39(sorry can't remember). but to pull 40 you should hit about 70.

Ask them if thats crank or rwhp. I mean if they give you a whole new cylinder it very well could be rwhp but I would want to know before I bought it. I think the 240 kits with no new cylinder make about 28 rwhp.

about 70, huh? thats good. do you think thatll be enough to beat a 400ex (stock) in a drag? i know the 400's top is about 65, but what about accel? also, is there anywhere i could get a larger front sprocket? i want the biggest one availiable (that my engine can turn almost to the redline) so i can get good top speed. i was hoping to be in the 80-85 mph range, is there any way i could get that kind of speed (without nitrous or a new engine), or am i asking too much of my blaster?

80-85 is asking to much from a blaster. u might be able to do it with tall gears and like 22" tires but it would lag to get there

even with the 40 hp engine it would lag? i mean im not doubting you im just suprised. well in that case what do you think my best bet is for a good acceleration and top speed balance? would there be any noticeable lag if i used the 14/38 setup i talked about earlier? and do you think i could still open the throttle fully in 6th with that setup or would i need more power?

P.S. nobody has answered about the highest top speed youve heard of on a quad.

Btw - compliments on that 265, crackhead
