need help wit sprocket
well how fast do you wanna go and can your engine handle it? if it was stock, i wouldnt do anything to it, the stock gearing can barely pull itself, so to gear it up wouldnt make any difference except at low speeds (youd go faster in lower gears than stock). i have an 03 blaster too and pretty soon im gonna get a trenga full kit thatll give me a total of 40 hp. im gonna change my gearing from stock of 13/40 to 14/38. a stock blaster can go about 57 mph. with my kit and gearing i asked around and im gonna be in the 70-75 mph range. it all depends on your engine. if youve piped it and have a 30mm carb i would say if you want to go a little faster put on a 39 or 38 tooth rear sprocket. leave the front alone til you get more power. the highest gearing ive seen availiable for a blaster is 14/38.
ill let you decide what your bike can handle. but heres the formula -
front sprocket makes a bigger difference in how fast you go and a larger one will make you go faster, a smaller one will make you go slower.
rear sprocket doesnt make as big a difference and a larger on will slow you down and a smaller one will make you go faster.
i would say after you do this you might be in the low 60's, depending on how much you weigh.
