They always ask for my parents I just tell them that there both dead.

 

I put my name on that no-call list

Biggest mistake of my life...before I had the opportunity to treat someone who didn't deserve it, like crap and hang up
Now when I do it's just my mom and she calls back and says that she doesn't think its very nice for a son to hang up on his..."CLICK"

That will teach her!
My moms kinda like a telemarketer...never really has as good of an offer as they say
always calls at dinner
can't avoid because she calls from a blocked #

i like to make up a product name and act like im trying to sell it to them that gets them real irratated

 

Telemarketer: "Hi is (insert your mispronounced name here) there? This is (...) from MCI calling wanting to know if you want to switch to our new long distance program."
Disgruntled home owner: "I'm sorry. I'm a little busy right now. Can I have your home phone number and call you back later?"
Telemarketer: "Uhhh...I'm sorry, I'm not alowed to do that"
Disgruntled home owner: "What? Why is that? You don't like people bothering you at home? NEITHER DO I! (CLICK)

At work, we used to keep the number to the zoo right next to the phone so when those telemarketing recordings call that tell you to leave your name and phone number after the beep, we'd tell them "Harry Lions" and give them the number to the zoo. lol That's an old one tho.

 

They ALWASYS call when your eating, its sorta stupid, I mean that has the people get up... alot of people arent in very good moods when they have to get up from eating [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]...

Heres what I do... I have them tell me ALL about the product they are trying to sell talk for like five minuites making them think Im real interested, then after all that I ask if they want to talk to my parents Ohhhhh they get sooooooo ticked-off its real funny. I have to eat now but will be back later with some more.

Ive been using this one for years.

I just go with the flow, make up names like jack mehoff and all i can get some good ones. Usualy i start conversations off topic about and they usualy just hang up after a while.
