A riding story

LSR= LoneStar Racing.
They make great products and everything is warrantied. Nothing lasts forever. I think it's important to keep emotions low and provide constructive feed-back to these aftermarket shops in order to get them to improve their products.
and "no Dirt in the truck!" i had a job box mounted on my trailor. i call it the hamper. all gear goes in it after a ride. and you wash up with Cooler water before you get in. No exceptions! My 4Runner Limited is fully loaded. leather, (GPS)Navigation system.
and oh yeah...no smoking...tobacco.

Was riding with a couple of my buddies in a small river. Ride in it all the time, but we decided to see how far we would go, at night. I was on my AC250SX, both my buddies were on Blasters. So we've been riding for about 2 hours down the river, the water stays about the same all the way (up to the cylinder) but got deep in some spots but neither of us had any problems. Well, I was leading and *whosh!* I go off into a spot 5 to 6 feet deep. My trike went under but this had happened in the other deep parts so I kept it pinned so the engine wouldn't go dead and suck the water back in. But it just kept going down! I tried to keep it upright but it rolled over, flipping me off . When I came up for air it was floating upside down in the and I was trying to keep my head above the water, all the while looking our for snakes that wouldn't be able to see anyway. The headlight was still on and it was a erie look in the muddy water.
I reach under and turn the key off (the engine had died when i was thrown off) and manage to crawl my way out into the knee deep water while my buddies were laughing their butts off. After about 30 minutes the three of us managed to drag it out of the deep water and upright it. Not so easy when your feet keep sinking a foot into the sandbed. The water in the airbox had drained out because I took the plug/hose thing off. But it had about 3 inches of sand in there, not to mention the air filter was covered with sand. I took the filter off and washed it in the river and ringed it dry as much as I could. I knew water had gotten into the engine so I took out the spark plug and cranked it over. It spit water about 6 feet in the air. I put the spark plug back in and began trying to start it up, no luck and I eventually ran the battery down. And no way I was able to start it with the kick start. 2 hours passed during that time.
So, I strap to one of the Blasters and we try to get out of there. The banks were about 20-25 feet tall with a 70 degree incline and a 2 foot lip at the bottom. So one of me and my other buddy try and push the trike while the one on the Blaster does his best not to flip backwards. After about 20 minutes of struggling we finally get it to the top of the bank where the road is. We're all exhausted and we start home, which is a good 3 hour ride now, and that's riding at a good pace. Don't know how many of you have had to be towed while riding a three wheeler, but it aint fun. So I was going to try and have him pull start me, if it would even start at all when I remembered that you had to be in neutral before it would start. That pisses me off more, but then I have a big idea. He starts pulling me and I keep it free wheeling by pulling up slightly on the shifter all the while I'm bent over the side with my knife in my right hand crossing out the two plugs that come out of the cases with my left hand on the throttle, and we're going about 20mph at this time. So I let down on the shifter and it turns the engine over, not before sliding sideways and after about 10 feet my machine fires up. Not a sputter, not a cough, nothing. It purred like a kitten. By the time I got home it had charged the battery enough to start itself.
We got home around 4am and I was dead. Of course the next day I did two oil changes and put on a new filter and it still purr like a kitten.
I have a few other misery stories, but my hands hurt from typing.

I love going out and sinking my old 250sx, that thing is indestructable. Sink it then kick it about a 100 times and it would run like new.
My horror story isnt as bad as some of yours but a while ago 2 of my buddies (riding double) wanted to see how far we could go on some snowmobile trail. We got about 50-55 miles away from home then decided we should head back. I was on my dads polaris 300 2X4, and just as we were making our way home the chain snaps. We didnt have a tow rope or nothing so we had to ride triple for 50 some miles. We finally made it home around 11 pm then i had to head up in my truck to go pick it up. I was just about dead tired when i made it home. What a great day.. not.
